Pipeline Strategy
The rate of success in drug development is very low compared to other industries, so research and development must be pursued effectively with limited resources. In an environment where a failure or delay in development of even one product may negatively affect the entire business, establishing a risk-controlled portfolio is a must.
Sosei has an attractive pipeline which is based on a risk-controlled model. It has been using its global network in order to search for new drug development candidates amongst compounds with different risks, times, and costs required for development. High-risk, costly projects that would involve development of the compounds from the earliest stages are not part of Sosei’s development strategy at the moment.
