NVA237 (COPD: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
NVA237 is a long acting bronchodilator for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Worldwide, exclusive rights to NVA237 were granted to Novartis in April 2005. Novartis are responsible for the further development and commercialisation of this product. Phase III studies of NVA237 were commenced in June 2009. Novartis expect to file an NDA for NVA237 in 2011.

QVA149 (COPD: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
QVA149 is an inhaled fixed dose combination product for the treatment of COPD. The product combines NVA237, the long acting anti-muscarinic antagonist (LAMA), together with Novartis’ long acting beta agonist (LABA), indacaterol, which has recently been submitted for registration approval. Novartis are responsible for the development and commercialization of this product. Currently, Phase III studies are underway.

SOH-075 (Emergency Contraception)
SOH-075 is an emergency contraceptive pill used after unprotected sex, containing only levonorgestrel as an active ingredient. This product was developed by Laboratoires HRA Pharma as NorLevo® and the exclusive distribution rights for Japan, Australia and New Zealand were licensed to Sosei in April 2001. Sosei submitted an NDA in September 2009 and entered into commercialisation agreement with ASKA Pharmaceuticals in Japan in November 2009.

SD118 (Neuropathic Pain)
SD118 is an oral, small molecule treatment for neuropathic pain which has shown significant activity in several models of pain. The product has successfully completed Phase I clinical trials. At present, Sosei is exploring funding possibilities with a reduced risk (project financing etc) for the next stage of development.
